I found these super cute "across the miles" card at CVS for $0.99 each, and as we had the $3/3 Hallmark Cards Printable Coupon we were able to get them for free!! (if you want to know more about saving money shopping at CVS check out my other blog SimplyCVS)
To match the ocean bottle theme, here's what I came up with. I used labels so the address would be on white to make it easier for the machines to read, plus it looked cute!

Smiles Sent Saturday~2/14/15~LetterMo
I'm taking part in the Month of Letters which means this was a busy mail week for me! Then in the first two days of the week I found out about 18 more cards our family should send. Some were sad-there was a death in the extended family, so we sent 8 sympathy cards. I found cards and addressed and stamped envelopes for my grandmother, who live in an in-law suite at our house, to send 8 more. But two were fun-a gentleman from our church and a great aunt are both celebrating 90th birthdays! I also sent the pink scalloped edged envelopes like I sent last week as well as:

And here's my pile I'm preparing to mail going forward with the challenge!
I'd love to see what you are mailing! If you blog, please use this linky, if not you can share on Scribbling Sarah's Facebook page!

Starting to prepare for "A Month of Letters" 2015
So, we're half way through January which means February is fast approaching, and with it "A Month of Letters" Challenge, or as I normally refer to it due to the website address "LetterMo". The challenge, put out by Mary Robinette Kowal, is to send a piece of mail every day the post office picks up, or every day except Sundays & President's day. This will be, I think, the third year I've participated in this great project. Last year I put mail in the box all those days, but they didn't get picked up a day or two due to weather! So, I'm trying to get ready. So far I've succeeded in printing out a calendar for the month and started making notes of whom I wish to write and when and started to see cards I have, and which I may still need to get. Today's project is updating our family's address list, so I have the info I need.
So, are in for LetterMo this year? If so, have you started your preparations?

A Month of Letters Wrap-up
Well, I’m a little late posting, but I successfully finished my first time of doing the A Month of Letters. My final numbers for the month were:

Valentines envelopes
With the inspiration of a Month of Letters, I’ve sent a number of Valentines cards this year to family members, etc. I decorated (or made/wrapped) a number of the of the envelopes. I thought I’d share photos of a few on here:

Month of Letters kick off
I’ve addressed my first card for A Month of Letters, and am in the middle of writing it. Since I recently started keeping a record of everything I mail, I know my numbers for January. I sent:
Personally: 6-Letters
11-Cards/notes
With my family: 3-Cards
2-Packages
I’m interested to see what my numbers end up being with LetterMo. Sending 22 things last month seems pretty high for me, and it’s almost as many as I’m hoping to for LetterMo. The last two months for me/us were (not counting holiday cards) November: 9 & December: 16.

Preparing for the Month of Letters
This year I decided to take part in the month of letters challenge on lettermo.com. The challenge is to try to mail something every day the post runs. I do probably write more than most people especially as I have out of state family, so I have most of my cards/stationary in my desk, so it’s handy, but I thought it’d be easier if I didn’t have to try to find a card each day as I don’t have a lot of free time, am an over-planner/organizer, and enjoy looking at the things I’ve picked out ahead of time, thinking about how I hope the recipients will enjoy them. So, as I’ve had time, I’ve been
